About Our Chapter
The volunteers of the Halifax Chapter have been focused on bringing relief to the city’s needy since 2012, building on the strong serving foundation laid by the many volunteers of the Halifax Dartmouth Church of Christ going back to 1998. Some of the projects we have facilitated have included Operation Christmas Child, Community Clean Up events, the Sunday Supper program and Remembrance Day and Christmas Letters of Encouragement.

Volunteer Opportunities

Heading back to school in September can pose a real challenge for many families in our community. The Halifax Chapter of HOPE worldwide Canada is honoured to once again support our neighbours' children on their "journey of learning" and are so grateful for all our supporters, donors and volunteers who helped us pack 20 backpacks filled with school supplies that were delivered this week to a local elementary school, which we hope will make this back to school season slightly lighter for our neighbours. THANK YOU!

Ongoing Programs

Sunday Suppers
Throughout the year, volunteers from the Halifax Chapter of HOPE worldwide Canada have the privilege of walking alongside our neighbours in their time of need and serving at the local Sunday Supper program.
If you are interested in volunteering to serve one Sunday or would like to help us prepare a meal on one of the Sundays, please contact Nancy Taylor (nancytaylor@eastlink.ca) for more information and thank you!

Halifax Foot Clinic
HOPE worldwide Canada is privileged to partner with and support a walk-in Foot Clinic that is held twice a month in downtown Halifax. Run by trained medical and healthcare student volunteers from local Universities, this clinic provides free foot care to our neighbours in need. All donations will support the supplies and ongoing equipment needs for the running of this
clinic. Thank you for your support!"
