Partnering together to help our neighbours in need

Earlier this month, staff from Tata Consultancy Services and volunteers from HOPE worldwide Canada came together at TCS’s offices in downtown Toronto to assemble over 250 Hygiene and Foot Care Kits that were then distributed to various shelters and charitable organizations in the Toronto area. The goal of our event was to come together as like-minded individuals to do what we would to make a positive contribution to our community.
TCS Canada is one of Canada’s leading IT services, consulting, and business solutions providers, with a core belief that volunteering is not about doing more — it is about refusing to look away, and choosing, consistently, to be part of something larger than ourselves.
HOPE worldwide Canada, a registered non-profit, has been serving communities across Canada for over 30 years, with a focus on mobilizing volunteers and creating high-impact programs which serve to strengthen the communities in which we live and to positively impact the lives of our neighbours through our service.
This partnership between TCS Canada and HOPE worldwide Canada is another example of the power of collaboration between volunteers, corporations, and communities in creating meaningful impact. Through partnering events like these, we are not only aiding our neighbours, but together we are raising awareness for how we as individuals and groups can meet the real needs in our communities.
“This event was a powerful example of what can be achieved through strong community partnerships and volunteer engagement. We extend our sincere gratitude to HOPE worldwide Canada and all those involved for their leadership, collaboration, and commitment to ensuring essential supplies reached those who needed them most. The impact of this effort reflects the compassion, generosity, and dedication of everyone who contributed. The overwhelmingly positive feedback received underscores the meaningful difference made in the community and highlights what is possible when organizations, volunteers, and community members unite around a shared purpose. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that create meaningful, lasting impact and strengthen the communities we serve.”

“During my undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University, I was fortunate to join a group of students who volunteered at a free walk-in Foot Clinic in Halifax. That experience opened my eyes to the impact someone's environment can have on their health and has helped shape my desire to do more to be of service to our neighbours in need. We had so much fun at the Kit Assembly event with such a great group of people coming together to help our communities. I look forward to more events like these as together we raise awareness and support for our communities! Thank you so much TCS Canada and HOPE worldwide Canada!”
Madison Dunbar, MD Candidate, U of T, Foot Clinic Volunteer
“It was such a special time for HOPE worldwide Canada to come alongside the staff of TCS Canada for this event. The needs in Canada’s largest city are many, and with supporting health and wellness being one of our key goals, it was a wonderful way to come together as like-minded organizations to make an impact in that area.. We look forward to more events like these in the future.”
Greg Taylor, CEO, HOPE worldwide Canada
