Toronto East Chapter Launches 2016 Milk Bag To Mats Project

In January the Toronto East chapter launched their Turning Milk Bags Into Mats project for 2016. The mats are shipped to countries across the world for distribution to poor communities. The event was held at Milestones Christian Ministries in Ajax. Carolyn Hou, the Chapter director said; "It was very successful as we were able to surpass our goal of making 12 mats and finished up with 14 within the two hour time frame. All the volunteers participated by making the loops and then weaving the mats on the loom. The best part of this project always is that you do not require hundreds of bodies even with one person the project can still be a success."
