HOPE worldwide Canada volunteers marched in the 2019 Toronto Ukrainian Festival again this year. They marched in support of the Helping Hand for Ukraine project, which provides socio-psychological programs to children in Eastern Ukraine to help them recover from war trauma. The program is partly funded by HOPE worldwide Canada.
Our highly enthusiastic team walked and handed out flyers along the route to raise awareness of the program.
Many children in Eastern Ukraine are dealing with intense trauma caused by the armed conflict. HOPE worldwide Ukraine, through the Helping Hand for Ukraine project, provides socio-psychological support for the children, training for social workers, therapists, teachers and parents who work with the children.
