In July 12 volunteers from our chapter in Ottawa participated in the Capital Ukrainian Festival.
The goal of this event was to spread information about the Helping Hand for Ukraine project which delivers humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons and psychological assistance to children and their families traumatized by war in Eastern Ukraine. It was a unique event for the Ottawa volunteers – a great opportunity to learn and tell others about HOPE worldwide projects that happen outside of North America. It also gave them an opportunity to support the HOPE worldwide team and families and children in Ukraine by participating in this three day cultural event.
Hopefully, we also encouraged others by letting Ukrainian Canadian people know about the wonderful work their brothers and sisters are doing throughout the regions of Ukraine to alleviate the effects of the tragedy in the East.
