The Toronto West Chapter is active throughout the year with exciting and purposeful events, including Milk Bags for Mats - making mats out of milk bags for distribution in poor countries - and working with other community organizations to feed the homeless in the Out of the Cold Program.

Delaine Yee

Toronto West Chapter Director

Delaine Yee has been a volunteer for the past 15 years and has been the Chapter Director for the Toronto West Region for the last 12 years.

One of her passions was volunteering in New Orleans, as part of a group, helping with rebuilding houses damaged during Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters. She volunteered in New Orleans for one week every year for the past 13 years. She is now a retired banker, and enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and RVing with her husband and friends.

About Our Chapter

The Toronto Central chapter is involved in different events and projects throughout the year to help the poor and vulnerable in downtown Toronto. These include Sistering, a program that provides services and activities to vulnerable women, Helping Hand for Ukraine Project, helping at Good Shepherd Mission, a homeless shelter in Toronto, and collecting jeans and socks at clothing drives to give to the poor.

Phil Osagie

Toronto Central Chapter Director

Phil Osagie is the chapter director of Toronto Central. He has a background in business writing, public relations and international consultancy. Over the last 10 years, Phil has provided content writing and public relations services to several multinational corporations. He is also the Global Communications strategist for Jsp PR. He’s currently a content writer in one of the top 3 banks in Canada and also the publisher of The Canadian Business Immigrant. 

Phil enjoys reading, running, and of course serving with Hope worldwide Canada.

The Toronto East Chapter has several events and programs throughout the year to support the poor and vulnerable in the East of Toronto. Some of these events include collecting clothes, shoes and socks for distribution to the poor, turning Milk Bags into Mats project and supporting the Out Of the Cold program.

Carolyn Hou

Toronto East Chapter Director

Carolyn Hou has been the Toronto East Chapter Director for HOPE worldwide Canada since 2013. She loves to serve in any capacity. She works as a National Sales Manager and loves crossword puzzles and sudoku.
