The Second Annual Winter Clothing And Food Drive In Edmonton

Volunteers from the Edmonton chapter

In the month of October the Edmonton Chapter took part in their 2nd Annual Winter Clothing and Food Drive. The event was run over two days, with three groups consisting of over 60 adults and children delivering flyers and collecting donations throughout the city of Edmonton and St. Albert.

Almost 400lbs of food was collected and delivered to the local food banks. 267 winter clothing items were collected to be delivered to Page The Cleaners. They cleaned and delivered the winter clothing to United Way’s Coats For Kids & Families program.

This year the Edmonton chapter were able to have all the items collected before the weather turned cold and the snow fell, which can be a tough time for those who struggle with having the finances to afford clothing and food.

The chapter is so excited about seeing this project grow, having more people involved and continuing to support these two programs in the future.
